Our Story

The Calla Lily Victorian Tea Room is located in historic downtown Aurora. It is housed in a renovated a historic building built in 1893 by the Pierpont family. They ran their family business out of the main floor providing the local community with fresh produce and assorted grocery goods.

We feel as though the tea room honors the Pierponts by bringing food back to this majestic historic location. We are blessed to have a piece of Aurora history. The Calla Lily Tea Room strives to bring a place of comfort and relaxation to a very busy society. Come it and sit for a while.

Our food is home cooked, fresh and based on the art of English tea. It’s an experience you won’t find anywhere else.

I strive to keep the traditions and essence of the history of the tea room in tact with a little modern flare. You will find my personal style of old world elegance, and dainty female charm spilling out of the tea room.  My goal is to create a space that is reminiscent of sitting in grandma’s lounge on a lazy Sunday afternoon with a plate of fresh baked scones and a pot of warm tea.
